It is quiet and has two side brushes to help remove debris from edges and corners.
In our tests, EZ Robot cleaned my entire 1,100 square feet main floor quickly and efficiently. It took about an hour to charge, and was ready for its next cleaning session in less than half the time. We tested the EZ Robot against the iRobot Roomba 694 and the iRobot did better in all categories. The iRobot is more sturdy and durable, has a greater dirt compartment capacity because of its external dustbin, cleans up debris better on carpets with high and low piles and moves more smoothly and allows you to define virtual boundary lines using the app. The iRobot also charges faster and has longer maximum battery time.
Matrix Robot
This robot vacuum provides many of the features you would expect to find in a top-of-the-line robot cleaner. Its LIDAR mapping sensor allows it to quickly and accurately map your home, which allows full autonomous movement. It is also easy to connect to a Wi-Fi network and is controlled via the shark 2 in 1 vacuum and mop app. The app lets you schedule cleaning sessions that work with your schedule, and even tells the robot to resume where it left off. This is a major improvement over the standard features of many robots which can be stuck on obstacles and spend time searching for their return to their starting point.
The Matrix is an excellent choice for homes that have lots of floors that are unfinished, but may struggle to take on larger debris. It is higher than many vacuums and may be a challenge to get under furniture that is low. It does a good enough job of keeping your home clean and debris-free.
Another amazing feature of this cleaner is its Matrix clean, which employs a precision grid to take multiple passes across the dirt, making sure there are no voids. It also has incredible suction power, making it able to deal with all kinds of different flooring types. It can even pick up pet hair from hardwood floors which is a huge benefit for pet owners.
The Shark app is simple to install and navigate. You can choose rooms or dirty areas for Matrix Clean and schedule it by using a timer. IQ
Shark IQ is a top robot vacuum. It is easy to use, comes with a Wi-Fi connection, and comes with a variety of automation features. It performs admirably on bare floors and carpets with low piles It is a great choice for pet owners, and comes with excellent maneuverability. It also has a few features that set it apart from other robots, including self-emptying and visual mapping.
The battery life is exceptional with a battery life of over an hour in “Max mode” with the highest suction. On its energy-efficient ‘Eco’ mode, it can run for up to two and one-half hours. The companion app will show the robot’s status, and the top is lit that indicate the level of charge. When both lights are blue, it is fully charged. If one turns off and the other turns red, it’s nearing the end of its energy.
The app is user-friendly and attractive, and allows you to control your robot’s settings. You can change its power modes, get push notifications, set up an agenda for cleaning, and see the history of your robot. It’s compatible with both Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can use voice commands to control the robot. It has an automatic mode which can adjust the power of cleaning in accordance with the kind of surface it’s cleaning.
When you want to clean a specific area, simply press the ‘Clean’ icon on the bot. This is a much faster alternative to having to press the manual buttons on the remote. The robot will then start cleaning the room however, if it is not able to run on battery or encounters an obstacle, you can manually reset it by using the app’s menu.
The docking station on the IQ comes with an external dirt compartment that can hold up to 30 cycles of debris before you need to empty it. This makes it easier to maintain the unit without hands, but it’s not as convenient as the bagless design of a full-sized Shark vacuum.
The IQ Robot is better than the iRobot Roomba 694, as it offers superior overall performance across all types of floors. It also uses smart-pathing to make cleaner routes, and has physical barriers that you can put in place in order to prevent the robot from entering certain areas. It is also more robust, has a longer-lasting battery, and is able to run at lower costs.
AI Robot
The AI Robot is an inexpensive 2-in-1 that is extremely maneuverable and has clever features that make it a great choice for small homes. It’s quick and efficient on all types of floors, rarely gets stuck and has a large bin at its base that only needs to emptied every 45 days. It also has an option that lets you to set boundaries for it so that it doesn’t get lost in rooms or around objects that you don’t want it to touch.
The AI Robot has two downsides It’s less reliable than my favorite robot vacuum (the insanely dependable Roborock Q5+) and performs a little less well on rugs with a high pile. It’s also louder and can have difficulty picking up debris between wood planks or tiles. It has many of the features I’m looking for in a robot vacuum, like the capability to empty itself and is much cheaper than the iRobot Roomba 981.
This intelligent bot does an excellent job cleaning all surfaces, but it’s a little weak on carpets with high pile. It does a great job on floors with no carpet, however and its sensor system is powerful enough to get over tassels of carpet and electrical cords without getting stuck. It’s also one of the few robots with self-emptying docks, which significantly reduces your hands-on maintenance and costs that are recurring.
Similar to the EZ Robot Self-Empty and Matrix Robot, the AI Robot is compatible with Alexa and Google Home devices, so you can control it with voice commands. It’s also compatible with iCloud which means you can sync it with your iPhone or iPad and use the SharkClean app to control it from any location.
The app is feature-rich, but the interface can be a bit clunky at times. You can set scheduling and boundaries, check the robot’s health and charge status, schedule reminders for cleaning sessions to come and more. You can also connect your smartphone with the robot using the app. This allows you to manage the robot’s smart functions from any area of your home.
